No I have not heard those.

Dawn After Dark was basically a cooler version of The Cult at the time. Just a really cool sounding band with a cool amount of energy. Some would say there was no way you could compare them to The Cult, but I was a Cult fan when they released "Love", and when they released the AC/DC influenced "Electric" I hated them all of a sudden. So it was easy for me to like something more then them at the time. I still hate "Electric", BTW.

Have you only heard Simpatico? If so, that one's a bit lame. I shall make you copies of the two I mentioned. You'll love 'em. If you like Soft Dogs, you'll love Everything Glows. Helpyourselfish is HEAVY. Knowing you, I think you'll dig that too.

<font size="3" face="Arial">Who ya talking to there? You gave me "Soft Dogs" (which I still need to send to Spydur, but he vanished), and I said I heard the two US releases. I just kind of lost the desire to follow them. It happens when the bands gets harder and harder to find stuff by.

Just returned from paternity leave to discover you discussing one of my favourite bands. I actually preferred 'Soft Dogs' to 'Everything Glows' but everything since 'No Fuel...' has been VERY good. Have to say that, for me personally, 'Helpyourselfish' is their best. I love the way they change direction with each album yet always maintain their distinctive sound. As with the US though, their last four albums haven't even been released in the UK! Amazingly they played a one-off gig in London just over a year ago, which was fantastic. A fantastic live band - best thing ever to come out of Denmark. New album on its way later this year, hopefully with UK release and tour...

NEW ALBUM???? I wonder what direction they will go? I think, personally, that they've pretty much squeezed as much as they can out of the Simpatico/Everything Glows/Softdogs era. I just remember that I saw them (the brothers) do an interview once and they were the calmest I've ever seen any artists in the glam/hair scene. Very humble yet with a dry sense of humor.

I totally agree. Apparently they've been playing a couple of new songs on their recent Danish dates and the response has been very positive. By all accounts they're going in a heavier direction this time. Maybe they've been taking note of what the fans want?!
